Sea Levels Rising Along U.S. East and West Coasts
The U.S. is starting to see the effects of rising sea levels. Climate change is to blame for the rising seas. Ice sheets are melting. Warmer water is expanding. Ocean currents are slowing.
On the U.S. East Coast, sea levels are rising faster than anywhere else in the world. On the West Coast, seaside towns are trying to decide whether to fight or run from the rising tides.
