Youth Boxing Program Helps Young People in Venezuela
Venezuela’s youth boxing program has three goals. The country wants to promote the sport of boxing. It wants to create top fighters. And it wants to keep youths away from crime and drugs.
In the Ring
Every weekend, young people in the program slug it out (phrasal verb) fight in a boxing ring. The ring moves around Caracas from parks to plazas to streets to slums.
